Our Services

We provide assessment and therapeutic intervention for adults who have speech, language or swallowing difficulties as a result of complex neurological conditions.

We offer assessment of a client’s difficulties with:

  • speech intelligibility (dysarthria);
  • language impairment (dysphasia) and
  • swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).

We then provide targeted, goal based therapeutic intervention, tailored to our client’s unique needs.

We can offer specialist intervention in the following areas:

  • clients who have language difficulties which co exist with broader cognitive impairment, for example, people who have sustained an acquired brain injury
  • assessment for and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication aids (AAC)
  • swallowing therapy, including where appropriate, intervention to wean Clients off long term methods of alternative feeding using an intensive approach *
  • assessment and intervention for people in prolonged states of low awareness/who are experiencing disorders of consciousness.

We have extensive experience of working within multi disciplinary teams, alongside professionals such as Case Managers, Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Clinical Psychologists.

We can provide direct therapy with the Client or provide a programme of intervention or training for a Client’s Carers or Support Workers.

Therapeutic intervention can be provided in a variety of places including: client's homes, residential care homes, nursing homes and specialist brain injury units.

Our Experience
